Such a BIG BOY!

It has been way too long since the last time I posted. Michael is doing so good and he is becoming a big boy! We had his doctor's appointment about a week ago and he weighed in at 7 pounds and 12 ounces. The doctor gave him a clean bill of health as well. He is in the 50 percentile for weight and height for a premie baby which means there are 50 percent babies that weigh more and 50% that weigh less. This puts him right on track with the average. He was only in the 7 percentile for the newborn charts, but Katie didn't carry him full term so those charts are not accurate for him. I couldn't imagine a baby being carried full term and being in the 7 percentile.

We weighed Michael the other day on our electronic scale and he already weighs 8 pounds and 6 ounces. He is getting so big and Katie and I believe he looks completely different from when he was born. He has the biggest chubby cheeks. Poor child! Both his Momma and Papa have chubby checks. He is sleeping a lot better now. He is such an easy baby to take care of. We have been completely blessed with a good child so far. Sorry Mudder, your wish with us having a child just like me when I was a good may not come true :)

Michael is making all kinds of cute little noises for us to hear. It will be amazing when he starts to talk, but lets not rush things to quickly. He is also doing very well with head control. Now that he is getting bigger we have taken him out to run errands with us. I was a little concerned at first but he just sleeps in the car and sleeps in the cart when we go shopping. We were out for over 3 hours and he slept the whole time. As soon as we got back home he started to fuss. I told Katie we need to run errands more often.

Shannon is coming out to visit with Katie in a week and she may be bringing Mason. We do not know for sure but it should be a fun visit. Then the following week, Michael will meet his Granny from Sunny Florida. We'll be sure to take a lot of good pictures while everyone is out visiting our place. Looking forward to good visits from Family.
