Much better sleep

Well Michael has been letting his Mom and Dad sleep a little more through the night. We are hoping this is a change that will last rather than just a delayed reaction of being handled from Christmas. Michael has been doing an awesome job waking up to be changed or fed, and then he goes back to sleep. There were a couple times where he would fuss for a minute but then he would fall asleep. He probably was working on a big gas bubble.

He is still consuming about 2-3 ounces every 2-3 hours and we can tell he is really packing on the pounds, errr, ounces. We tried to put him in his little swing that Bob Hastler and Family gave us but he was way too small. Katie put him in his swing the other day and it is amazing how he looks in it compared to when we first placed him in the swing.

We found a great deal on a baby/toddler scale on amazon so we decided to purchase it. We plan to keep record of his weight gain maybe once a week. We should be getting it soon, but I'm sure Michael is at least 6 1/2 pounds if not 7 pounds now. He also has grown almost an inch since we brought him home over 2 weeks ago. He's getting to be a big boy! We figured the scale would be a fun thing to do for him and maybe he'll appreciate looking back on it later in life.

That is it for now! We are just very happy Michael seems to be sleeping better. Katie is rockin at being a mom too! I'm so proud of her. Michael can fuss and fuss, and Katie just laughs at him and is in great spirits. We really haven't experience any depression since this little guy arrived. I know it was a concern of ours and we just talk about it and it seems to really help.

We love you Michael Ryan!
